Since in the early 1980s, Dr. Michael Scholin, Au.D., has been a pioneer in Intraoperative Monitoring. Over the years, he has consulted with many IONM businesses and worked for several IONM equipment manufacturers, holding VP positions in sales, marketing, and manufacturing. This background, as well as his experiences as both a CNIM Certified Technologist and licensed Interpretive Reader, have given him a unique, well-rounded perspective of the industry.
Throughout his work in the industry, with hospitals to technologists to IONM companies, he saw the need for improved standardization of processes and centralization of data.
And in 2005, USMON was born.
